[THIN] Re: Citrix applications slow to launch - FR3 SP4

I know our takes longer, having gone to new 8.1 client and MPS 3.0, mostly
because of the Citrix "showing all steps to logon". Before it did not wait
for the script and such, script hid itself, app. Launched....now it sits at
running logon scripts, even thought the script is hidden and practically
done.

No sorry. Once a user is connected the application performs normally.
I applied MS hotfix 824309 and that seems to have helped (applications now
take 30-40 seconds to launch). However, prior to the upgrade it was
~15 seconds tops for an application to launch.

This wouldn't happen to be your problem, would it? :)

Hope this helps;

All, we upgraded to FR3 SP4 on Metaframe xpe yesterday after experiencing
some severe farm stability issues (xml service/ima service crashing). The
FR3 SP4 upgrades seems to have fixed that, but now applicaitons are
extremely slow to launch from WI. Across all applications for workstations
local to the servers or remote sites the conneciton time is 45-60 seconds
(time from clicking icon to application launch).

Any ideas?

thanks,
