Hi Jennifer,

A quick excerpt describing part of the Citrix server SDK V 2.3:

-----------------------------------------------------
app_pubApplication Publishing Component of the Citrix Server SDK 2.3

The Citrix Server Software Development Kit - Application Publishing
component (APSDK) contains programming interfaces that enable developers to
write programs that create and manage Citrix MetaFrame XP published
applications.

This SDK can be used only to develop programs that will execute on servers
running MetaFrame 1.8 or later. No other Citrix servers are supported by
this SDK.

Without this SDK, applications can be accessed only using the Management
Console for MetaFrame XP, a standard utility provided by Citrix.

This SDK provides the following features:

* An object-oriented interface. Applications are organized as objects.
This object-oriented design makes creating and accessing applications
easier.

* A complete set of API functions. This allows developers to write
code that takes full control of the application properties.

* Example programs. These programs can be used as a base for building
customized programs to meet specific requirements. Full source code and
compiler scripts are provided to aid in learning how to use this SDK.

* Complete documentation of all API functions for easy reference.

------------------

Admittedly access to the datstore is via an IMA service, but I suspect
you'll have most of the functionality you're looking for.

regards,

Rick

I wish. Sadly enough all of the things you mentioned are in the DataStore
(SQL db in large farms generally) and besides the indexes the datastore is
not editable by admins. Only by the IMA service as a proxy for the Citrix
management console (which is java)... Fun huh.....

Short meaning is that there is not away to do this either supported or
unsupported by Citrix.

Subject: [THIN] Citrix api?

Is there a way to program citrix configuration changes via api? Things like
changing published app server lists and app permissions? If you can, are
there any docs out there?

We are going to role out a rather large citrix farm and would like to
automate it as much as possible.

Thanks!
