I think the rule of thumb is that they must be connected by high speed
LAN/WAN. So if you have two subnets in your data center connected by high
speed connection you are fine. Or maybe even across town. If they are in
different geographic locations such as Dallas and Miami then it is best to
have different zones.

Does anyone know if you can span a single zone across multiple subnets?  For
instance, I would like to have one zone on 10.20.20.x and
