MessageAnd on that note EVERYONE needs to consider this when ordering XP Embedded thin clients. Make sure the vendor adds Sun's Java client. But if there's no JVM installed, you can always download / distribute / install one. On my desktop PC (XP Professional) I have the latest Sun JVM installed - and access to NFuse / WI works just dandy. On some platforms, there is some restriction in some subtle areas of new-ish functionality (session sharing, and true seamless spring to mind), but otherwise, should be suitable for generic clients. I tried this from a friends PC the other day and it wouldn't run because of that. ----- Original Message ----- From: Braebaum, Neil To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, January 07, 2004 8:35 AM Subject: [THIN] Re: Citrix Nfuse You don't have to use an ActiveX control - you can use Java, and trim / configure the Java packages used, to optimise for thin links. Think about it, for a second - any client, and platform type support - the local browser may not support ActiveX.
