We had a problem some time ago with a bad SCSI RAID array BIOS that would lock the server...the way the server entered the hung state knocked off our other servers also. I believe the SCSI BIOS version was 2.7.0-1 and we had to upgrade to 2.7.1...I would update the SCSI BIOS and the main server BIOS to the latest versions just to be on the safe side... Good luck. ________________________________ From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Kelsey, John Sent: Friday, November 04, 2005 10:24 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Citrix Lockup 1 is a Dell server, and the rest are IBMs. -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of DMelczer@xxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, November 04, 2005 10:22 To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Citrix Lockup Do these happen to be Dell servers? ________________________________ From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Lilley, Brian Sent: Friday, November 04, 2005 10:01 AM To: 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [THIN] Re: Citrix Lockup is there any link to screensaver/timeout/something hardware side expiring? -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Kelsey, John Sent: 04 November 2005 14:59 To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Citrix Lockup No BSOD. A client will try to connect and never get a login screen. If you go to the actual server console, its frozen. No mouse movement, no keyboard. You can still ping the servers though. I have no choice but to power each server off, then back on. -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Lilley, Brian Sent: Friday, November 04, 2005 09:56 To: 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [THIN] Re: Citrix Lockup what do you mean by 'Lockup', do you mean you are presented with logon gina? or do you mean a BSOD? -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Kelsey, John Sent: 04 November 2005 14:45 To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Citrix Lockup Ok, I'm scratching my head on this one. 1 server farm, 7 servers Windows 2003 Enterrprise, no SP1 but all other MS patches are loaded Metaframe XPe SP4/FR3 with Hotfix Rollup 1 Servers are on different types of hardware, in different subnets Server run fine for several days at a time, then for a reason I can't seem to find, they will all lock up at the same time. Even the console itself is locked up. Anybody have any ideas wha would cause ALL 7 servers to lock up at the same time? Thanks everybody! ******************************* John C.
