my lab is now all virtual, the advantage is that my Electric bill had dropped, however Powergen have had to close a generating plant. seriously though the thing to remember is that you don't need power for a lab. therefore vm workstation and a fairly powerful desktop/laptop will do. I am running on a duel dell prescision 410 with a GB of ram. it has a CSG/Wi 2xmf, one running STA and DC and a F/Pwith a small exchange. it is slow but it does what I need. with snapshots I can roll back to previous versions and with teaming I can have a W2k environment. w2K3, mixed or even WTS and any number of versions of MF from Winframe upwards. It is a breeze from the old method of having a ridiculous amount of machines or swapping hard-drives or restoring ghost images.
