Exactly what features are missing out of the Web Client vs. the Full PN Client? -----Original Message----- From: Evan Mann [mailto:emann@xxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, December 06, 2002 8:41 AM To: 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [THIN] Re: Citrix ICA Client 6.31.1051 To uninstall the webclient all you need to do is delete the icaweb32 folder from \program files\citrix I have seen it install to %systemroot%\citrix\icaweb32 as well I believe the full client will overwrite any other .INI that may exist in a per-user folder or \winnt folder, but am not 100% sure. -----Original Message----- From: Jensen, Jay [mailto:jjensen@xxxxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, December 06, 2002 9:33 AM To: 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [THIN] Re: Citrix ICA Client 6.31.1051 Thie ICA Web Client install information in Add/Remove Programs doesn't exist. Here is what happened. We initially thought we would install the ICA Web Client because we are using NFuse and Published Apps and Published Desktop. We found that some features were missing so we went back to the Full Client installation. On those machines with the Full Client install, we only see the Full ICA client in Add/Remove Programs. Here is the question. Should I uninstall Citrix ICA Client (assuming this would remove the Web Client Components) and then install 6.31.1051 full client version again to fix the problem below? Thanks Jim for you help. We started out with the Web Client to keep the download on the PC smaller but we found that we had other issues that came up so we went to the Full client. Do you know what we need to remove from the PC to remove the unwanted Web Client Componenent files that are in conflict? Thanks Jim. -----Original Message----- From: Jim Kenzig [mailto:jimkenz@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, December 05, 2002 10:16 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Citrix ICA Client 6.31.1051 Is the web client also installed on the PC also? For some reason, I get this if I have Nfuse open and try and also click on a customized connection from PN. I removed the web client and it seemed to help. Not sure if there are compatibility issues or what. If you close the Published application, the custom applicaton runs without a problem. I am currently running XPe FR1/SP1 on my metaframe servers. I plan on upgrading to FR2 soon but I need to test Nfuse 1.71 more before I do this migration. Can anyone out there provide me with some insight to this problem? Thanks.
