Hey Kristof:

Well, the appropriate ports are open (3389 and 1494), but I can't seem
to
figure this thing out. I think I'm going to need to make this into a major
research project. At any rate, I REALLY appreciate your (and Dan's) input,
and when I figure this thing out, I'll send the solution to this list.
Thanks again.

Hi Kristof:

I CAN connect with RDP and I DO have errors 1003 and 1004. I've
already
tried deleting the MSLicensing key; this works for one connection only and
then it goes back to the same error. The server has a ton of licenses
available and never does a BSOD, the user is an admin, and the connection is
made through DSL. Does any of this help? Any ideas?

Dean Theophilou

P.S. Wow, I thought I was the only admin who stays up this late. :), or
maybe it should be :(

Hi dean

Just trying to get the hole picture.

Could you describe me your network layout, does it go true routers ?
Are the clients capable of directly connecting on the same subbnet ?
Do you use ICA gateways ?
If connected doe you lose your connection ore is it stable ?
Can you connect WITH rdp , or does the server BSOD ?
Do you have ANY microsoft licensing events in your event log?

Regards

Kristof

Subject: [THIN] Citrix Connection Problem

Hello:

I can really use some help here. I'm running Windows 2000
(SP-3) and Citrix 1.8 (SP-1). I have some client running Windows 2000 that
can connect to the server and some that can't. I also have some Windows 98
clients that can connect and others that can't. At first I thought it was a
licensing issue, but since it started happening with Windows 2000 clients,
that doesn't seem to be the problem. I keep getting the following error:

"Network or dialup problems are preventing communication with the Citrix
server. An attempt to automatically restore the connection will begin after
a delay to let the network recover. If the problem persists, please contact
your network administrator."

Can someone please help? Thanks.
