This is a fresh server build. I am loading Citrix Pres Serv 4 for test. I am trying to install it and I tell it to join an existing farm during the ODBC connection it gives me the error -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Dogers Sent: Thursday, August 25, 2005 11:01 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Citrix 4 No - the message is talking about the MPS4 server you're trying to join to that datastore. The DS is XP's version, not MPS4's. It sounds like you've upgraded "a" server, not the data collector, which you have to do first for upgrades. You can find out which one this is by looking in the management console. Could be wrong, so others will likely correct me :D Andrew On 25/08/05, Turman, David C. <david_turman@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: Correction: Do I have to install Metaferame on the SQL server? -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> ] On Behalf Of Turman, David C. When I try to join the farm with the Citrix 4 install, I put in the name of the SQL server for the datastore while creating the ODBC connection, just like XP. It comes back and says either it can't find the server or the server does not have Metaframe XP insatlled.... Do I have to install Metaframe on the Citrix server, not the other way round? -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Philip Walley Sent: Thursday, August 25, 2005 10:38 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Citrix 4 no, you don't need sql. i haven't seen that error yet.
