Definitely check a previous suggestion for ie enhanced security. Search the registry for any IEHarden entries with a value of 1 (including the user hive trying to launch). ________________________________ From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Minero, Hector B CIV Sent: 07 April 2005 19:29 To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Cannot open *.ica files from portal after Win2003 SP1 The machine I am running IE on is Win 2003, and since SP1 it no longer works connecting to WI/CSG _________________________________ Hector Minero NSWCDD Code K55 Ph: (540) 653-8859 Fax:(540) 653-8575 -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of RMC - Brian Hill Sent: Thursday, April 07, 2005 2:11 PM To: 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [THIN] Re: Cannot open *.ica files from portal after Win2003 SP1 Need clarification please. The machine you are running IE on is Win 2003, and since SP1 it no longer works connecting to WI/CSG, or your CSG machine is Win 2003 and quit working after SP1, or your Web Interface box is 2003 and quit working after SP1. I've looked everywhere on the IE settings and I can't find where I can configure it to open the *.ica file instead of saving it. Any help is appreciated. _________________________________ Hector Minero NSWCDD Code K55 Ph: (540) 653-8859 Fax:(540) 653-8575 **************************************************************************** SMOKE ALARMS SAVE LIVES Go to London Fire at www.london-fire.gov.uk/firesafety This email is confidential to the addressee only.
