We use PDF factory. It took a few registry tweaks, but now works really
well. It has some nice "File - Print to PDF - Email PDF" wizards for
our users who are printing contracts primarily to be emailed. Cuts out
the whole save, and then send step for them.

I had to install the whole PDF writer product and it was a bit buggy.
Everytime you went to print a PDF you would get an LPT1 error. It would
make the PDF but it was an annoying error. I used pdf995 and it worked
much better. It is freeware (with the annoing web popup evertime you
print) or but it for 9.95 www.pdf995.com

How can you install the writer (drivers) only?
I tried to install from the CD but I could only install the full
product.

Can I copy drivers from one machine to another instead?

The only real way that I have gotten it to work was either to use a 3rd
party universal driver (like screwdrivers) or to install a pdf writer
(like adobe or pdf995) and map the printer to that driver

We have a Windows 2000 SP3 Farm with MF 1.8 SP3.

We have a user/client who has Adobe Acrobat Writer locally (he isn't
apart of our Network, he just logs in to access our sales system via
Citrix). He wants to be able to "print" using the writer. I have
recently given him local drive access to his local machine, but how can
I "map" that "printer" over? Can it be done? I've searched the
archives, and the answers I came up with were to use other PDF writer
programs on the server. I'm trying to avoid installing such software on
the servers.

Any help, suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Mario
