*Ctx_Sma.exe Version 1.1*

Created Date: 10/17/2006
Updated Date: 11/28/2006

*Description*

The Citrix SMA Service and the Citrix Print Manager Service are configured
to be started by a local user created during the installation of Citrix
Presentation Server 4.0 called *Ctx_SmaUser*. If this user account is
deleted or corrupted, printer autocreation may fail. SMA alerts are not sent
and/or client printing does not function properly. The Citrix SMA Service
and/or the Citrix Print Manager service cannot be started.

*Ctx_Sma.exe* is a command line tool that re-creates (if deleted) the
Ctx_SmaUser account and checks and assigns all required access permissions.

This tool implements the exact same procedure described in article CTX106393
– Required Permissions and Rights for the Ctx_SmaUser
Account<http://support.citrix.com/kb/entry.jspa?entryID=6253>.
Refer to this article for detailed information to understand how the tool
works.

It also adds some new features, like supporting renamed/re-created ICA-TCP
listeners.

Ctx_Sma.exe is platform language-independent; it can be run on any
language/Multilingual User Interface (MUI) package-installed server running
Windows 2000 Server or Windows Server 2003.

*How To Use Ctx_Sma.exe*

Run the tool from a command line without any parameters. You must run *
Ctx_Sma.exe* under a console that *is not* in any remote sessions. Ctx_Sma
gives some user feedbacks while it progresses.

itrix highly recommends restarting the servers regardless of the platform
(both Windows 2000 Server and Windows Server 2003) after the tool runs.

*Installing Ctx_Sma.exe*

Download the archive to a local workstation, unzip the archive and run the
application from a command prompt or from a batch file.

*Uninstalling Ctx_Sma.exe*

To uninstall this utility, delete Ctx_Sma.exe.
