Hi Ron,

Yes, it is alot to ask... really just looking for a high level view right
now, and some direction on the number of Citrix licenses and servers that we
would require for our 1500 client devices. We have built the environment in
test, and are trying to put the case together for the brass. I appreciate
the offer of your TCO paper, that would be great to have.

Bob

Wow, Bob, that sounds like a white paper to me. And of course all that info
is variable. Meditech is one app, but lots of hospitals run Epic Hyperspace,
or Power Chart from Cerner etc. Meditech is also a little different
depending on the version you run.

Any I am sure there is a TCO white paper out there that would get close to
what you are looking for, WE did one about deplying apps in different ways
in hospitals of different sizes and some of the benefits and draw backs of
different deployment mechanisms.

Shoot me a mail if you want a copy of that.

Hello,

We would be interested in hearing from anyone in a healthcare or similar
facility that has gone to a primarily Citrix/Terminal Services/thin client
environment for the delivery of ALL I.T. products (Meditech as well as MS
Office, etc.)

How has it impacted your users' workflow?

What impact has it had on your T.C.O.?

What effect has it had on the level of support you can provide your users?

How often do you need to provide one-off alternatives for products that are
not TS friendly?

What is your ratio of concurrent use for licensing?

What is your ratio of concurrent users to metaframe or TS servers?

What would you have done differently?

All feedback is appreciated, thanks.
