Your correct in that it doesn't make sense to needlessly create domains
either sideways or hierarchically in your forest - but there's nothing wrong
with forests of domains.
Some of the issues, tend towards people clinging to legacy rationale, and
applying it to the current situation - certainly where the domain models are
concerned, comparing NT4 to W2K AD.
