Best Practice #1 NEEDs to be:

DO NOT USE the HP Edition of XenServer.  Use the distribution provided
by Citrix.

 

The Proliant Virtual Console and HP Logging utility cause all kinds of
performance and stability problems.  HP needs to resolve this issues
before they can recommend them.
