[THIN] Best Practices for printing

What are the best practices for configuring your Metaframe XP
environment for printing and installation of drivers?
Given the environment:
Metaframe Farm on the same LAN as the print server that handles about 10
printers.
Metaframe Farm is remote of the print server and the client (ISDN
location).
Is Importing a print server the way to go?
Can I just install all the Win2k drivers for all the printers and delete
the printer objects; thus retaining the drivers in the spool\x86\3
folder?
Reason I ask is I think my printers are the cause of my typing latency
delays for the last 8mo.
