the 2000 version of NT backup works great for me but I don't have a very = large network. I have looked at Dantz Retrospect in the past and liked = it and if NT Backup stops getting the job done for me, that is what I = will buy to replace it. www.betterbackup.com IBM has some good backup solutions for large organizations. The "bare = metal" solution is really nice. Greg -----Original Message----- From: Turman, David C. Not just Term Servers, but everything, too. NT Backup is not much of a solution for a large network. We just went through several weeks of disaster recovery testing and got at best 40% susccess=20 rate restoring to unlike hardware, no matter what we did. Win 2000 was a bit better then NT 4.0 based systems, but still miserable. The files and directories come back, but the registry entries are sketchy at best, usually non-existenet for installed software. Even Metaframe had to be reinstalled. We currently use Legato, and after a conference call with Gartner, they say everyone is in the same boat with Mocrosoft. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D This weeks Sponsor: triCerat, Inc ScrewDrivers fxp: Self Configuring Printer Driver with Bandwidth Control Learn more at: http://www.tricerat.com/?page=3Dproducts&product=3Dsdfxp =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D For Archives, to Unsubscribe, Subscribe or=20 set Digest or Vacation mode use the below link. http://thethin.net/citrixlist.cfm =================================== This weeks Sponsor: triCerat, Inc ScrewDrivers fxp: Self Configuring Printer Driver with Bandwidth Control Learn more at: http://www.tricerat.com/?page=products&product=sdfxp =================================== For Archives, to Unsubscribe, Subscribe or set Digest or Vacation mode use the below link. http://thethin.net/citrixlist.cfm
