In case anyone was looking at this string over the last two weeks. After
talking with Citrix extensively, they say there is a bug when upgrading from
1.8 to XP FR2 SP2. This causes the location of the LHC to be installed in
the Winnt\IMA directory as opposed to the Programs\Citrix\IMA directory.
Everything continues to run however. I dont know if something i did on my
farm helped in the issue, but they were able to recreate the problem in
their lab. So, i guess i didnt break it after all! I havent gotten all the
details yet, but when i hear more, I'll post it.

One of the things it states in this doc is the local host cache may be
corrupt. You could try clearing the LHC
Type dsmaint refreshlhc at a command prompt. Also check the info below on
compacting the DB.

Compacting Access Databases

Servers hosting the data store have both a local host cache database file
(Imalhc.mdb) and a data store database file (Mf20.mdb). Use dsmaint
compactdb on both these files on a regular basis. Citrix recommends creating
a script that executes nightly to compact both databases and back up
Mf20.mdb.

Servers not hosting the data store have only the local host cache database
file (Imalhc.mdb) that can be compacted occasionally to improve performance.

NOTE: The dsmaint compactdb command can be executed while the server is
running

JK

Again I'll repeat it. It has to be the same on ALL servers.
Have a look at this FAQ on diagnosing problems with the IMA service.

i upgraded to mdac 2.6 sp2 and jet sp3 on one of the xp servers and on the
data store server. rebooted the data store, then the other server. same
error. i also verified port 2512 is open.
