The question is not if the %time% variable exists but how you add it into bginfo

The DATE and TIME variables already exist.

Open a cmd prompt and type: echo %date% %time%

Bill,

Here it is. Like I said, this program creates a script (TED_DT.BAT) that
populates two env vars with current date and time. From there, just some
simple scripting away from a lot of good uses...

Well based on the lack of feedback thus far, can you send me the
program? I may be able to make use of it as I continue to look for other
solutions.

My brother wrote a program, that generates a script, that puts the
current date/time into a environment variable, which I use to rename backup
files etc. I'm sure there is a better way, but if you want it just let me know.

I doubt it. It's just a report of the information it gathered
when it was run last. What are you trying to do?

But is there a currrent time option?

Put it in the startup-folder in the startmenu.

Does anyone know if the current time can be displayed on a
Citrix box using BGINFO? Or if there is a way to get the current time with
BGINFO? I only see snapshot time and boot time.
