Ok, don't upgrade the client and see if it fixes itself then?

That way he doesn't have to anything!

Yes I know but he has numerous zones with their own adminstrators so an
upgrade of the client would take him about 5-7 months which is a bit to
long.

I've got a customer who runs an environment with the following

W2K SP2
XPa SP1 FR1

Win32 Clients version 6.20.985

When a user connects to the server it sometimes connects to another
users printers instead of its own. When looking in the printer manager
the client name is correct but the printername is from another client.
They do NOT have the same client name and the printer that gets mapped
are not installed on the client who gets it.
