Jay - does your procedure below work on Win2k3 server? I'm seeing some
concern about running DWG TrueView 2 on a Windows 2003 server.

Here is a procedure that one of my colleagues came up with at my last
job for DWG TrueView 2. It also relies on the attached ADM and a couple
of .reg files that I'll have to dig up.
* Log on as the local Administrator
* Change User /Install
* Install from SetupDWGTrueView2.exe
* Click OK at the Autodesk Setup prompt
* When the installation is complete, Change User /Execute
* Open DWG True View 2, then close
* Cut the Autodesk folder located in M:\Documents and
Settings\Administrator\Application Data and Paste it in M:\Documents and
Settings\All Users\Application Data\
* Cut the Autodesk folder located in M:\Documents and
Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data and Paste it in
M:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\
* Give users Full Control on "M:\Documents and Settings\All
Users\Application Data\Autodesk"
* Merge registry data (will have to dig these .reg files up)

download filemin and regmon from sysinternals or now microsoft
and take a look at what its trying to access when starting up, its most
likely a permissions issue.

Hi Guys,
Platform: Windows 2000 SP4 Server / Citrix Metaframe XP FR2/SP4.
Has anyone got AutoDesk TrueView 2007 running on Citrix
Metaframe? I have it installed and works great when logged in as an
administrator, but as a user it fails to start up. Googling has bought
up a few discussion groups with people with the same problem, but the
replies don't offer a solution just an AutoDesk don't support Citrix -
give up and use something else response.
I have been trying other Viewers, which do run on Citrix but
don't offer the functionality we require, to open AutoCAD LT DWG
drawings version 2002 to 2006, Print to scale and printing using plot
styles.
Can anyone provide any pointers in either getting TrueView 2007
to work (ideally), or recommend another application that meets our
requirements?
