Are you concerned that the password is being stored in clear text in an easy to
find location?

I have this set but it’s on Vista and I can’t get it to work.

Tried on W7 and works first time. Seems a bit strange!

Not likely to get all my Auto Login PC’s upgraded..

This works for me from Win 7…

SET KEY=HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

REG ADD "%KEY%" /v AutoAdminLogon /d 1 /f

REG DELETE "%KEY%" /v AutoLogonCount /f

REG ADD "%KEY%" /v DefaultUserName /d "jeremy" /f

REG ADD "%KEY%" /v DefaultPassword /d "secret123" /f

REG ADD "%KEY%" /v DefaultDomainName /d "jhouseconsulting.com" /f

I assume the shortcut for Citrix Receiver is in the Startup Folder?

So I assume if the credentials fail, the login box is displayed prompting for
the correct credentials. If so, are the username and domain fields populated?

Cheers,

Jeremy.

Close,

I have a the Citrix online Plugin and logon Mode Set to Pass-through.

I use the MS http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315231

Were the registry is populated to allow the Vista machine to log in on start up.

But each time I get prompted for the user credentials from the Citrix Client,
if I do not use the Auto login on the Vista and use the norman logon process
to the Vista machine it passes the user details to the Citrix client.

I think it’s because of the way Citrix client reads the details from the MS
gina to populate theauto login process of the Citrix Client but I cannot find
any definite proof of this.

You have a desktop with an ica browser plugin, and you want to populate the
webpage with the credentials from the Windows auto-login?

Hi ,

Just re posting this as I haven’t found a definite answer to weather this will
work or not.

Thanks

Ronnie

Subject: [THIN] Auto Login Machines

Hi,

I am having some issues with Vista machines that I populate the registry with
user name and password to auto log them in but when the ica plugin loads it
does not get the credentials to complete the auto login process to XenApp.

I vaguely remember something about this a log time ago when these machines were
set up that the Citrix Client had issues picking up the user name and password
if it wasn’t entered at the login box.

Can anyone confirm my suspicions or has anyone this successfully implemented?

Thanks

Ronnie
