Audio is redirected from the server to client... Hardware is not needed on
the server side (well, except CPU cycles).

I'm looking at getting Philips digital dictation machines working on our
MFXP farm with a view to use on XPe thin client devices. If I can manage
this we'll be able to replace dozens of fat clients for our secretaries.
Would I be right in thinking that audio facilities aren't available to
clients unless the server has audio facilities? If so, does anyone know of a
range of blade servers that either includes audio or has a free PCI slot to
take a card? I've had a rummage in the HP and Dell websites but without much
(or any) success.
There's always the option of using 1U servers but we could be looking at
buying quite a lot and don't have all that much space available.
