Steve, just to clirify, if your getting reported duplicate sessions, but on the same server, is this for the same application, or different applications ? as if it was a different application, that would be the session sharing I was referring to Anyhow, i'll investigate that and let you know if were experiencing the same thing. Only problem with me is i'll have to talk to the end user over the phone, all I can really do is try and shadow both sessions, and that may confirm whether 2 sessions are actually running or not Andy ----- Original Message ---- From: "Raffensberger, Stephen D" <sraffens@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, January 14, 2008 1:50:23 PM Subject: [THIN] Re: Application Limits not working intermittantly Hi Andy. I see something similar. I’m also using PS4 R04. Most of my applications are set for “allow only one instance of application for each user”. Yet, at any given time, I can look at the CMC and find at least one user with two instances. The difference is that my duplicates ALWAYS show up on the same server in the same session. I’ve checked with some users and they aren’t running two instances. (In fact, many of the applications connect to databases which would not allow them to log in twice anyway.) They are always duplicates, never triplicates or above. Therefore, I assumed that some user entries are simply displayed twice in the CMC while the screen is being formatted. I’ve been ignoring them. Were noticing that when we look at the users list on the CMC, we can see the odd user running 2 sessions of the same published application, even though one or the other checkboxes are ticked, depending on the application. Were running PS4 R04 on windows 2003. Im aware of the session sharing feature, but this is something different, as its the same application, and they are running across 6 different Citrix servers as well. Has anyone come across this ?
