I have about 35 clients switched over now and plan to have 50 by the end of the week I took the live cd and DOS x-copied it the hard drive. It did take a bit of tweaking to get it to work, but now it's cake. I got it working with both ICA and RDP. I wanted it to be useable in a Windows environment and easy for the level one techs to load . The already live DOS/ICA clients I load from the network because the DOS network client is all good to go, I haven't bothered with a Linux network boot to make new clients , I will when I have more time to play. The long file name of the thinstation.profile/thinstation.conf.user was a bit of a challenge but there's a utility that gives me lren and lcopy. Along with the link Durf sent here are a couple others that I used. http://syslinux.zytor.com/faq.php http://lfntools.sourceforge.net/ I have some oldie Digital PCs I had to replace video cards ( I'll source some used parts for the rest) Some of the older HPs and Compaqs I had to make 200MB partitions and use a 2.X ver of Syslinux. Meant to be run relatively read-only, so it takes a bit of customization to create your desktop. -- Durf On 6/24/06, HBooGz <hboogz@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: could u provide a link for the client you are using ? The Linux boot loading RDP is wonderful! We recycle our old PC's and stick em on the shop floor as terminals. Thin Appliances would be my preferred choice. But hey I save the company $$$$ by moving the "junk' out to the dirty environment. -- HBooGz:\> -- -------------- Give a man a match, and he'll be warm for a minute.
