Thanks for the replies.

I had been googling and found quite a few products out there hence the email to
see if anyone was actually using them.
Ill await any further feedback and keep checking.

Well it depends what you want. RM in XPe does nothing more than performance
monitoring and maintains 2 sets of data for you to look at (the local DBs and
the summary DB)

Logcaster shows resource metrics, but that is a side note, its big thing is
data from the eventlogs. So it all depends. Sytrack is another performance
product from Lakeside software (they built the original RM way back in the
day), then there are any number of others if you just throw your google engine
to work. Personally I am starting to like the Premitech products.

Subject: [THIN] Alternative to Resource Manager for XPa servers

  Hello there,

Im looking at comparing upgrading to XPe from XPa or looking at third party
software as an alternative for around

  10 servers.

I am looking at Rippletech logcaster at the moment and was wondering if
anyone was actually using any other thirdparty software to do the same thing.
Feedback would be appreciated.

  Regards
