RM in XPe does nothing more than performance monitoring and maintains 2 sets of data for you to look at (the local DBs and the summary DB) Logcaster shows resource metrics, but that is a side note, its big thing is data from the eventlogs. So it all depends. Sytrack is another performance product from Lakeside software (they built the original RM way back in the day), then there are any number of others if you just throw your google engine to work. Personally I am starting to like the Premitech products.
