[THIN] Re: All clients can see all local printers

That's the only thing that I've seen personally that has caused this
issue. You could try publishing the desktop to a user account that is
seeing this problem and run gpresult.exe (resource kit) to see if there
are any unknown GPO's getting applied. I suppose this could be caused
by wide open "User rights Assignments" or something of a local policy
nature.

Good luck.

I checked that, which makes this even more weird. They aren't part of
the power users group either. Any other thoughts?

I believe this only happens when a user is part of the local
administrators group. Check to make sure that the specific users or a
global like Domain Users or Authenticated Users are not part of the
local admin group.

All,

I'm sure this has been covered before, but my brain can't come up with
the right term to search for in the archives today.

I have a client that is using 2 Windows 2000 SP2, MF Xpa servers.
Each
user can see everybody else's redirected local printers. This is
getting confusing for the users (~50 or so).

Any ideas on how to make this go away? The clients still need access
to
their local printers and the networked printers, just not everyone
else's printers.

Thanks,
Gabe
