Thanks.  But I have one more question.  How much memory does each idle
connection require?  2-3 MB (I seem to remember that that was the case, but
I'm not sure).  Thanks again.

I would think that would be adequate.

If users complain about not being able to connect then you might want to
think about upping it. For starters that should work. I doubt you'll even
use up all 10 in most cases.

Hello:

I'm looking for some advice on the number of idle connections.  I have a
server with 2.0 GB of RAM.  There are about 100 users.  I expect to have
about 20 concurrent users logged on.  How many idle connections should I set
up?  Right now I have set it to 10.  Is this too much or too little.
