If this isn't a CAL-license issue, maybe you should try to upgrade the
tcp/ip stack at the ME-boxes..

Greetings,

I have a home user using Windows ME. Currently he establishes a PPTP
VPN connection into our network via a cable modem. I'm having trouble
getting his ME machine to connect to the Win2k terminal server. I've
tried both the Terminal Services client and the Web remote client.
Using the terminal services client, I tried to connect to both the
server name and the server IP address. The connection times out using
both. Using the remote web client I've tried both the server name and
ip address and they both fail.

I have verified that I can ping the terminal by both name and IP when I
establish the VPN connection. All other clients, W2k, XP, and 9x can
make this connection without any problems. This is the second ME
machine that I have had problems with.

Are there any tricks to getting ME to work with this scenario?

Thanks,
Casey
