I found the value at:
HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Jet/4.0/Engines/Jet 3.x

MaxLocksPerFile DWORD: with a value of 251C (9500 Decimal)

What would be a good/safe value to increase it to?

Any help is appreciated

Hi all, a user is cutting and pasting a lot of data in an Access 2000
database and he's getting the following error:

File sharing lock file count exceeded. Increase the maxlockperfile registry
entry.

Has anyone seen this before? I can look for this entry, but is it safe to
increase the value?
I've searched TechNet and no luck.

Thanks,
