Nailed it! After fixing the user rights issue and much experimentation, the
username has to be entered as domain\username\mailboxalias

Obvious really.

It's more the format of the username I need. I'm using Delphi 5 components
to do the actual work (once I've fixed a permissions issue later today).
Hopefully, domain\username will work once I've nailed a user rights issue.

Thanks.

server via a POP3 client

Nothing to do with TS or Citrix at all. There is a good chance that I'll =
have to make an app soon to make a POP3 connection to our exchange 5.5 =
server. My current stumbling block is how to enter the required username =
and password. In my tests so far, the usual "domain\username", =
"username" and "mailbox.alias" attempts all fail with "A required =
privilege is not held by the client". So, does anyone happen to know the =
format for the login details when connecting to POP3 on MS Exchange 5.5?
