I have to disagree. At least for Thinprint I know that they can autoconnect
printers based on the Session ID instead of the users name.

Hi,
Thinprint and screwdrivers are not going to solve your problem.
Every single user logged in under the same username shares the same profile.
Default printers etc are stored in the profile, so when user A sets their
default printer (on login or subsequently) users B,C,D etc will all get the
same default printer and printer settings.
The end result is chaos, with print jobs maybe coming out on the right
printer if you're quick enough.
A special application that needs everyone logging in as the same user sounds
like a broken application that needs the common username as a workaround.
There may be a better solution.
Like to tell us about the app and why it needs everyone as the same user?

Unfortunately we have a special application that is forcing us to have all
users log on as the same user. Needless to say this is not what one should
do but it is necessary for this application all the same.
The problem is as anyone who uses Metaframe knows is printers. Our users
are seeing each other's printers, they are not always autocreating nor being
deleted. I am looking for a solution that helps with the non compatible
print driver issues. Can anyone give me their opinion of Thinprint vs
Screwdrivers?
FYI this is a Metaframe 1.8/NT 4.0 Terminal server environment and will
remain so for a while yet. Thanks
