Hi,

One of the things appsec is supposed to do is to prevent running non-native
(on local disks) software. You may have to look at a third party software
add-on from tricerat or appsense.

Subject: [THIN] APPSEC NT 4.0 TSE and executables on Novell Shares

We are having problems getting appsec to accept to run
an executable which is on a Novell share (Novell client 4.81):

h:\foo\foo.exe -> when running it appsec gives the message that the user is
not allowed to run it

If we copy the executable to a local drive appsec is able to accept it:

e:\foo\foo.exe -> user can run it

But that is not a solution for us.

We are running the APPSEC included in NT 4.0 TSE.

Does anyone know a solution for this problem ? Patch of APPSEC maybe ?
