Well, first of al, the print screen and alt print screen keys have no meaning inside of a Citrix window (this may have changed with the latest client). They do have meaning in the base OS. So what you get is a copy from the base os and not from inside of the Citrix session. In short, you will always get a copy of the full Citrix screen. The "hit & miss" problem you are speaking of is likely caused by other applications, like office, messing with the clipboard. This breaks the Citrix clipboard sharing. There is a tool that you can run to repair the clipboard when this happens, but I usually just log off and back on. If you want to have the print screen or alt print screen functions inside a Citrix window, you can attach that funtion to another key, such as the F12 key, by adding the following to the wfclient section in the appsrv.ini: ICAPrntScrnKey=F12. -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Shane.Rees@xxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, May 16, 2005 10:38 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] ALT+PrintScreen... Hi All - we are having issues with clients connecting to a Citrix desktop (full screen connection), and then using the ALT+PrintScreen key combination to screen capture the active window. The problem is that the results are "hit & miss". The exact same process sometimes results in just the active window being captured (as it should be), while other times it results in the entire desktop being captured. The problem is evident across all versions of the ICA client (6/7/8/9). Does anyone know a solution for this problem ? Users are connecting from NT4 & 2000 desktops to the full screen desktop citrix app. All screen captures and pastes are being performed within the Citrix desktop.
