I've had this happen. Generally a stop of the spooler service (or a kill
of the MMC, like Lonnie does) will let the script continue.

I use the reboot script from the Project In A Box, with tsshutdn. I had
instances where the mmc.exe would hang on shutdown if it was run from
the
server console. Below is the suggested fix from Ron Oglesby (credit
where
credit is due) and it worked to perfection.

I added this to my script

        %systemdrive%\pskill.exe MMC.exe

just call this from your reboot script. Maybe through a Sleep or wait
command in there if you want. The PSKILL.exe I got from Sysinternals.com
and is free.
