I have just finished upgrading a farm from 4.0 to 4.5 No problems. Reallocated
the licenses, reinstalled the license server and ran the upgrade on the
Presentation servers. Ran the first upgrade on the Farm metric server. There is
no rush to 4.5 unless you want some of the new features
of 4.5.

I believe the next version of Presentation Server will be dependent
upon Windows Server 2008, and not 2003. There will be updates and
feature releases for 4.0 and 4.5 still. In the long term though, 4.5
is the last release of Presentation Server 4.5 and given it's release
date will be supported for longer than 4.0.

What's the rush to get to 4.5? It's not like it's unsupported or anything...
