Is the file and shortcut both on the same machine? If you put http://machinename does it show "Local Intranet" in the status bar? If you try and open it direct from the folder (i.e. without using the shortcut) does that work? Tried both and it still pops up with the error. I placed the shortcut in the start menu (All Users) and it will open ok, it just prompts each time its accessed. -------------- Original message -------------- On the machine that the shortcut exists, either map a network drive to that location, or add the machine name to the "Local Intranet" sites list in Internet Explorer. Hope that helps :) Jon Spriggs -- The presence of a "Fujitsu" address does not imply or assume that Fujitsu Services, Fujitsu or any other company containing the Fujitsu name uses or endorses this product. No problems with this app on a 2000 box but on the 2003 box, it prompts each time asking if you are sure you want to open this file. Is there a policy or regkey that can suppress the dialogue box?
