Hmm, that sounds interesting.  I'm forcing many of my apps to 256 color
because there is simply no need for anything more, and that's what they
were used to on 2000 TS anyway.  Based on this, I should run them all at
16bit anyway, because 'll save cpu overhead and have very little impact
on bandwidth?

This is due to the overhead of down sampling 16-bit to 256 colors when
running at low color, i.e. Citrix (as far as I know) recommends 16-bit
versus 256 colors due to better performance on the server and
insignificant difference with the bandwidth. However 24-bit WILL impact
your bandwidth.
