Sounds like a seamless windows issue. Does it run with a fixed size ie
something like 800X 600 or at 75% of screen size. If so almost
certainly a seamless windows issue. This is where you need to do some
seamless windows tuning. There is a CTX article somewhere about the
flags to tune.

These other two articles may help as well.....

Ours is the same, runs from from desktop and from published desktop,
just not within published app. itself.

Thank you for your reply. The application DOES run without any problem
using full desktop ICA. It appears to only be having a problem when run
from seamless app. Thank you for the advice. We'll investigate the
client version issue.

Rob

Does it crash when using a published desktop through ICA? Have you
tried using different settings on the client (IE full screen vs seamless
window, etc) Try a few different versions of the Citrix client. I have
had several applications when we had to get private versions of the
Citrix client because they didn't work with certain applications.

Subject: [THIN] 16 Bit Application Crashing - Running MPS4

Greetings,

I have a client who is attempting to run a 16bit application on MPS4
Standard edition on Windows 2003 Server. The application functioned
well on XPa on Windows 2000 server. Now, in the new environment, the
application starts, then immediately crashes and closes. No errors
reported in event log, Dr. Watson, etc. I can;t find anything that will
give me a clue to what is happening. I can tell you that the
application runs perfectly fine when run from the console of the Citrix
MPS server. It also runs fine through an RDP connection to the Citrix
desktop. The problem seems to exist with ICA. Can anyone direct me to
a great troubleshooting document with 16bit apps in ICA session or could
anyone provide any advice on how I can get this application working or
what the problems may be?

Thanks

Rob
