  Well, thats what I would like to avoid. I see no advatange doing this
  unconditionally but I can see problems. AFAICT, only OS4 has BOOPSI
  support in intuition and insists in using utility/CallHookPkt. OS3 
  and MOS use amiga.lib.

  I don't think this matters for this case.
