During the day I noted 17 species of butterfly, 0 species of amphibian, 5 species of reptile, 71 species of bird, and 4 species of mammal, bring my totals for the lake this year up to 17 species of butterfly, 0 species of amphibian, 5 species of reptile, 115 species of bird, and 6 species of mammal The competitor, Hale County, stands at 14 species of butterfly, 0 species of amphibian, 2 species of reptile, 69 species of bird, and 3 species of mammal - as expected, the Canyon Lakes look to be the winner in all categories. As regards goals for the canyon lakes, I am now 34% of the way towards my goal of 50 species of butterfly, 0% of the way towards my goal of 8 species of amphibian, 33% of the way towards my goal of 15 species of reptile, 77% of the way towards my goal of 150 species of bird, and 40% of the way towards my goal of 15 species of mammal.
