[texbirds-freelists] [texbirds] Offatt's Bayou Loons and Other Birds 3/31/12

Jim Stevenson, his wife Liz, Jan and myself took my boat into Offatts Bayou
today to get some good pictures and look for Red-throated Loons. We looked
over a lot of Loons but found no Red-throated and only 2 Pacific Loons.
The largest flock of mixed loons, Mergansers and Grebes was accompanied by a
large flock of mostly Bonaparte's Gulls with a mix of Forster's terns and
Sandwhich Terns. I am sure we probably saw 200+ Loons today although I did
not even try to count all of them. Below is a link to just a few (16) of the
many pictures Jan and I took of all of the above mentioned birds. Again no
Red-throated Loons were seen!
