Repost: original did not make the list last night. Jim Stevenson, his wife Liz, Jan and myself took my boat into Offatts Bayou today to get some good pictures and look for Red-throated Loons. We looked over a lot of Loons but found no Red-throated and only 2 Pacific Loons. The largest flock of mixed loons, Mergansers and Grebes was accompanied by a large flock of mostly Bonaparte's Gulls with a mix of Forster's terns and Sandwhich Terns. I am sure we probably saw 200+ Loons today although I did not even try to count all of them. Below is a link to just a few (16) of the many pictures Jan and I took of all of the above mentioned birds. Again no Red-throated Loons were seen! _http://hansonnaturephotography.smugmug.com/Nature/Texas-Birds/17293655_vKBN QB#!i=1773660037&k=PMS6WBF_ (http://hansonnaturephotography.smugmug.com/Nature/Texas-Birds/17293655_vKBNQB#!i=1773660037&k=PMS6WBF) David and Jan Hanson Baytown/Mont Belvieu Area TEXBIRDS help file and Texas birding links at: http://moonmountaingroup.com/texbirds Edit your Freelists account settings for TEXBIRDS at //www.freelists.org/list/texbirds
