I rather enjoyed the information about the effect of flash photography on
owls. There are a pair of Eastern Screech-owls nesting in a Live Oak in my
front yard and I have always wanted to shine a flashlight into the tree and
at their box in an effort to see them at night. I've avoided doing so, and
will continue to in the future. I'll settle for watching them in daylight,
on weekends, as I leave for work in the early light and return after dark.
