The cold front appeared to lie between Corpus Christi and Brownsville and
north of Lake Charles and New Orleans. Both Corpus and Brownsville had
clusters of numerous showers and small thundershowers while more easterly
stations were showing SW winds and clear skies. Active migration was not
observed around noon but grounding conditions exist and no doubt Sunday
will be fairly good migrant birding at traditional coastal stopovers.
