Last night's front had cleared the entire western Gulf coast by midday with the exception of some scattered but relatively strong thunderstorms in the New Orleans area. The winds behind the front were brisk and the skies were clear but are expected to cloud over with the relatively high possibility of rain by Saturday. Some very light flights of migrants were approaching the coast in the lee of the front but tomorrow's rain, if it materializes, should bring about a good fallout by Saturday evening. Circum-Gulf migrants were being steered northeastward by the winds and thus were following the coastline. John C.
