The Greater Pewee was seen this morning (10/22/2012) between about 8:30 and 10:00 AM in Bear Creek Park. Derek Muschalek had located the bird in the top bare branches of a sycamore tree just east of restroom #9, just across Golbow Rd. It flew to the treed area between restrooms 9 and 10. It was subsequently relocated several times in loose association with a small feeding flock, just over Kunze Rd. Others present: Rob Thacker, Joe Fisher. Other birds of note: Brown Creeper near restroom #10, 30 White-fronted Geese flying over, male American Redstart along the old entrance road off of Paterson Rd. Ron and Marcia Braun
