I just returned from a 6-day trip to Fort Davis with stops in Junction on the
way out and on return. Highlights included Montezuma Quail (6), Phainopepla
(5), Elf Owl, (Bushtit (6-8), Scott's Oriole (3), Green-tailed Towhee (2),
Black-capped Vireo, Western Bluebird (10-12), White-breasted Nuthatch (3),
Acorn Woodpecker (~5), Bell's Vireo (3), Rufous-capped Sparrow (4), Cassin's
Kingbird (2), Canyon Wren, Ash-throated Flycatcher (2), Canyon Towhee (dozens),
and  Bewick's Wren (4). My sparrow total species was 9; in addition to
Rufous-crowned and the two towhees, , I saw White-crowned, Lincoln's, Vesper,
