Pleasant morning at Lost Maples on Tuesday--Ki and I did the part of the East
Trail that goes along the Sabinal River. We were most interested in birds using
the taller trees and lusher growth along the river. Nothing tremendously
unusual, but nice to see/hear Acadian Flycatcher, Louisiana Waterthrush,
Red-eyed Vireo, and others near the southwestern edge of their ranges.
It was very pleasant up until around noon-time, but once the sun burned through
we decided to head for a cool location.
Regards and good birding,
Tim Brush
