Comments: sunny and quite watm--Laura and I were walking dogs back along
the canal--check time
2 species
Muscovy Duck (Established Feral) 1 female flew by above canal, within 30
yards of me--very large duck with blackish plumage and small white wing-patches
on secondaries--looks like wild type but consensus in this particular locale is
no truly wild birds occur (unlike just upstream in Starr Co. and possibly above)
Common Pauraque 1 female flushed from edge of brush/grass along canal near
end of McKee
