Male ruby-throateds showed up 2 weeks ago but we still have some lingering
winter visitors. An adult female broadtailed (banded on site), an immature male
rufous (the last of numerous to arrive this season), an almost mature male
broadtailed (arrived about a month ago) and an adult female R/A (recent
arrival) are all still present. A lot of the wintering species are still
represented (chipping and white-throated sparrows, yellow rumped and pine
warblers, brown thrasher, cedar waxwings, and the rapidly maturing male
Baltimore oriole present since January. Anxiously awaiting the return of the
red-headed woodpeckers due any time between now and April 9th. Keith KingdonNW
